For Jenny, I’d say it was about time. From everything I could read about in the press and hear on the airwaves, Mark Sanford had no desire to do the right thing. Sure he asked forgiveness—-time and time again in tearful appeals, but shouldn’t seeking forgiveness also include repentance? (*by the way, don’t count on dictionary.reference.com for a good definition of repentance*)
Repentance is more than just shedding crocodile tears and then going your own stubborn way, it involves changing the behavior that was wrong. Going back and making amends and getting back on track with what is right.
Mark Sanford wants it both ways, he thinks he can have his cake and eat it too. Or in this case his cookies and milk because he is acting like a naive two year old.
My support goes to Jenny Sanford who, from all evidence (having known about the affair since January of ’09) has had an open heart of forgiveness toward her husband. It’s just that Mark doesn’t want that, he’s living in LaLa land.
Good riddance Mark, take your baggage with you when you leave. Oh, and even if you haven’t technically done anything worthy of impeachment? You also aren’t worthy of respect just because you’ve tearfully acknowledged your transgressions. Hopefully you come to the point of true repentance one day, then real forgiveness can begin.

So Jenny Sanford finally filed for divorce from the Republican Governor of SC, Mark Sanford. Divorce is never pretty and it should be a long time coming and only for severe circumstances.
